Outcomes based Commissioning

Public Health , Somerset County Council have commissioned Mindful Emotion Coaching as one part of a four prong approach to meet this outcome:

To ensure that all people who work regularly with children and young people are well equipped to understand and respond appropriately to the emotional needs of children and young people.

The Outputs for our part of the programme are:

- to develop a network of skilled professionals through the children and young people workforce who are champions for the emotional health and wellbeing for children and young people across Somerset

- more children and young people know where and how to seek help with their emotional problems

The Measures will include the School Health Survey 2016.

Outcomes based commissioning used within the context of Joint Commissioning, the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment, Health Watch, Young Health Watch and Somerset Health and Wellbeing Board has great portential for enabling more effective Public Services.
